Young Economist of the Year Competition

02-May-18
Young Economist of the Year Competition

Students had a great day at the Young Economist of the Year Competition today. There were over 500 entries from over 60 schools, of which only 105 were qualified for today's ceremony. St Vincent's got all of their 6 entries selected to make to the final today.

We are delighted to say that one of our entries was awarded 2nd place in the overall Junior Category, an absolutely fantastic achievement for the students, especially considering it was their first time entering. The winning group was Sadhbh Lynch, Ella Gamble, Mary McArdle and Robyn Griffith. Their project "Should Excise Duties be put on Vapes/e-cigarettes".
