Science2Life Roadshow

St.Vincent’s Science students had a thoroughly interactive experience when they took part in the ever popular Science2Life roadshow recently as part of the national Science Week activities. Under the enthusiastic direction of Sue McGrath, aka Scientist Sue, Transition Year and First Year classes enjoyed learning about Palaeontology, dinosaurs and fossils amongst other discoveries as part of the Scientific Dilemma of Dippy the Dinosaur, Sue’s latest offering. This series of shows looks at how scientists interpret fossils to find out about Pre-history, how plants and animals rely on each other in the natural world and how the digestion system works. Teacher Helen Daly explained ‘Sue and her travelling roadshow is a regular visitor to our school. Her enthusiasm for all things Science, along with her friendly and practical demonstrations really give the audience an insight and understanding into an array of areas and topics.
