St Vincent's Secondary School

At St Vincent’s our student centred approach is visible in the way classrooms are allocated in junior cycle. We believe that it is important for our junior students to have a classroom that they will call home, where they will have their locker and socialise with their classmates. Here they will be taught as a class group for most subjects and teachers will move rooms rather than students moving rooms every forty minutes. This significantly supports students in making a smooth transition from Primary School. Each classroom is equipped with a short throw data projector to facilitate learning with Apple TV installed in all classrooms.

St Vincent’s boasts a comprehensive range of modern facilities for its students including:

> Two ICT suites with integrated ICT access in all classrooms
> Three modern Science laboratories
> Two modern Home Economics kitchens
> A sewing room
> Three fully equipped Art rooms
> Learning support suite

> Library with Accelerated Reader programme
> Gymnasium with fully equipped fitness suite and yoga room
> Study hall with supervised evening study facility
> Canteen facilities

The school is in the process of developing a multi-purpose outdoor sports facility.
