Working for Others

In keeping with the Mercy tradition we at St Vincent’s are always aware of our capacity to work for others. We have a wonderful school community who led by many teachers collect for various charities. Each year we have already collected significant contributions for others. Our fundraising was active and ongoing.

Our students have the opportunity to participate in competitions, bake sales, Readathons and sports activities, all so that they can contribute to, and be mindful of, the unequal distribution of wealth in the world. In Transition Year our students participate in the ‘Youth Action for Justice’ programme and are inspired by developing and sharing the learning from their projects.

We at St Vincent’s try to be a witness to the Mercy ethos by remembering the words of Sr Catherine McCauley when she called us to give to others in our hearts and from our hearts.
